The Department of geoscience at the college of science at the University of Basrah held a scientific field trip to the Tayeb area in Maysan governorate for students of the applied groundwater course c412 and groundwater course c306 for the morning and evening studies, where the trip aims to introduce students to the types of groundwater reservoirs and the nature of wells in the field area, and in the trip the composition and geology of the area and movements were explained It was also explained how to take measurements of the stable water depth for monitoring wells of groundwater. The Zubeidat area was also visited, where there is an artesian well of a confined underground reservoir . The fieldwork was supervised by a group of professors from the Department of Earth Science .
