University of Basrah organizes a seminar on the mineral, geochemical and petrophysical analysis of the Zubair formation in the Zubair oil field, southern Iraq

The college  of science at the Department of geoscience organized a seminar on the mineralogical, geochemical and petrophysical analysis of the Zubair formation in the Zubair oil field, southern Iraq . The seminar presented by researcher Rayan Hassan Ibrahim aims to interpret and present the scientific results derived from the study of the Zubair formation in southern Iraq, through analyzing the petrophysical, petrographic, mineralogical and geochemical characteristics to assess the quality of the reservoir and determine the types of ancient geochemical environments based on geochemical analysis. The workshop also seeks to highlight the role of specialized analytical programs such as Techlog, excel, Xrd, XRF and SEM-EDX in data processing and integration to accurately understand the characteristics of the reservoir and support development and production strategies in oil fields.
