The College of Science organizes a workshop on microbial pollution in the air

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on microbial pollution in the air and its relationship to the spread of mental illness in closed environments.

The workshop aimed to identify the types of closed environments, the sources of microbial pollution within them, and how to reduce it.

The workshop, presented by Nour Mahmoud Ahmed, a lecturer from the Department of Ecology, and attended by employees of the Directorate of Education in Basra Governorate, included an explanation of some important terms related to microbial pollution in closed environments such as hospitals and schools, and the microbes they contain that cause a number of respiratory diseases such as asthma and influenza.

The workshop recommended raising awareness about microbial pollution in closed spaces and how to reduce it as much as possible.
