The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop titled "Environment and Climate."

The workshop aimed to raise environmental awareness among educational staff at the General Directorate of Education in Basra Governorate, highlight the impacts of climate change on ecosystems, and discuss scientific methods for reducing pollution and promoting the concept of sustainability.

The workshop, presented by Dr. Dunya Ali Hussein, a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science, included the participation of employees from the General Directorate of Education in Basra Governorate's Environmental Education and School Health Division.

The workshop recommended the importance of activating applied research in the fields of environment and climate, spreading environmental culture within the educational community, and encouraging cooperation between academic and educational institutions to address environmental challenges.
