The College of Science, Department of Mathematics, discussed a Master's thesis entitled "Using Continuous Homology to Classify Data Spaces for an Artificial Neural Network," submitted by graduate student Sajjad Kazim Hassan. The thesis aims to demonstrate the benefits of an innovative methodology in the field of artificial neural networks and data classification, focusing in general on the application of topological data analysis (TDA) techniques, with a particular focus on the use of persistent homology.
