Graduation Projects Discussion Conference in the Department of biology Sciences - College of Science, University of Basra

Under the theme:
"Graduation Projects: The Nucleus of Scientific Research,"
A graduation project discussion conference was held today, Sunday, May 18, 2025, for fourth-year students in the Department of Life Sciences, College of Science, University of Basra, for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The conference was opened by Dr. Adnan Abdullah Al-Mousawi, Assistant Dean of the College of Science for Student Affairs, and attended by Dr. Inaam Mahmoud Najm, Head of the Department of Life Sciences, and Mufid Zahir Taleb, Department Rapporteur, along with a large number of department professors and graduation project supervisors.

The conference featured the discussion of graduation projects for all scientific disciplines in the department, which were distributed among specialized scientific committees according to their specific fields. These included: animal sciences (physiology, tissues, cells, animals), microbiology (bacteria, fungi, viruses, immunity, parasitology), biotechnology, genetic engineering, plants, and environment and pollution.

Discussions took place in designated halls, supervised by scientific committees composed of department professors, according to the official conference schedule. The discussion sessions were distinguished by their solid scientific level and the outstanding academic presentations of the students, reflecting the quality of the supervision and the research efforts made.

At the conclusion of the conference, the supervising committee extended its thanks and appreciation to all participants and contributors to the success of this important scientific event.
