The college of science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on morphotectonics of the lower part of the range of low-lying folds represented by the Tayeb area of Maysan governorate and the Badra area of Wasit governorate. The seminar aimed at assessing the tectonic activity in the two areas of the study and the effectiveness of this activity and its impact on river basins such as the duirig River, the tayb River and the Badra River. The seminar in which researcher Zeinab Adel Issa was present included a presentation of the morphotectonic indicators that were used in the study and the extent of effectiveness and impact of each of them on the study areas, through which the tectonically active areas were determined, the extent to which river basins were affected by tectonic activity, as well as the application of InSAR technology using radar information on the study areas, through which the amount of Rise and fall resulting from tectonic activity ( earthquakes ) in the study areas was determined.
