The College of Science organizes a symposium on illegal immigration

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a symposium on illegal immigration.

The symposium aimed to highlight the negative effects, causes, and problems facing illegal immigrants, given that their migration is to developed countries. Therefore, they are considered illegal aliens, and laws are issued to punish such individuals.

The symposium, which featured lectures by Lieutenant Colonel Muntadhar Kazim Nimah from the Basra Community Police, Attorney Adnan Al-Alaq from the Ashar Court, Ms. Adhraa Jabbar Sattar, an educational counselor at the Basra Education Directorate, and Dr. Abdul Karim Zayer Al-Muzani, Head of the Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Education for the Humanities, included an explanation of illegal or clandestine migration, which is the departure from one country to another in violation of the laws of the destination country. This involves entering the country without an entry visa, and asylum seekers may face deportation if the country of origin refuses.
