The College of Science at University of Basrah was held a workshop on:(Image Processing and Editing Using Image J for Scientific and Research Purposes)

It was presented by Professor Hussein Abed Saud from the Department of Pathological Analyses and Professor Ilham  Jabbar  Jalil from the Department of Biology. The workshop aimed to introduce researchers to this application, given its importance in image processing and analyses. This application is required as a tool for publishing research papers in various scientific fields, such as Biology, medical sciences, astronomy, and physics. The workshop included an explanation of how to install the program and how to use their commands in the field of Biology, where it can be used in the quantitative analyses of medical images to help in identification and detect disease signs. In the fields of physics and engineering, it is used in analyzing images obtained from telescopes and satellites and convert the description data into digital data. The workshop recommended adopting this application is an important in image processing in scientific research for analyzing master and doctoral students results.
