The College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar for graduate student Malik Jassim Hussein titled "Planar Array Design for MIMO Applications." The seminar included the design of a semicircular PIFA antenna, with a notch added to the structure to increase the beamwidth, and the construction of MIMO arrays consisting of two, three, and four antenna elements. The objective was to derive a semi-empirical equation to accurately determine the antenna radius and reduce coupling between elements, thus enhancing system efficiency and supporting advanced wireless applications.
