Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Imam Al-Rabahi, the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Science, in cooperation with the Educational Guidance Unit and the Continuing Education Unit, organized a symposium entitled "The Success Story of an Iraqi Woman - Methods of Applying for Scholarships Abroad." The symposium was held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 7, 2025, in the Physics Department. Researcher Dania Iyad Hanoush Al-Ghafaji delivered the lecture. The symposium aimed to motivate female students and researchers to pursue international academic opportunities, raise their awareness of the requirements and mechanisms for applying for scholarships, and present successful models from the Iraqi academic reality.
