The College of Science organizes a seminar on environmental factors and their impact on shrimp farming

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on environmental factors and their impact on shrimp farming.

The study, presented by graduate student Wafaa Abdul Hamid Abdul Razzaq, aimed to identify environmental factors affecting the survival, growth, and productivity of shrimp and determine the optimal values for these factors to ensure effective and sustainable farming.

The study addressed environmental factors and their impact on shrimp farming, focusing on Metapenaeus affinis and the role of environmental factors in determining growth, survival, and productivity rates, as these factors directly impact shrimp health and behavior. The study also emphasized the importance of carefully monitoring environmental conditions within aquaculture systems.
