Master Thesis at Basrah University to be discussed (The protective effect of some extracts on tissue changes)

A master's thesis at the faculty of Science at the University of Basrah (The protective effect of some extracts isolated from cardamom and fenugreek plants on tissue changes in some organs of male rats treated with dexamethasone), and showed the researcher's thesis (Zahra′a Abd Alreda Jabbar) included an evaluation of the protective and therapeutic role of volatile oils extracted from cardamom seeds and alkaloids extracted from fenugreek seeds on blood glucose levels and insulin levels and a biochemical study to test liver functions and measure the level of its enzymes in addition to tissue changes in the tissues of the pancreas, liver and kidneys of rats treated with dexamethasone. Thesis aims to extract and isolate the active compounds and evaluate the tissue changes and concluded that treatment with volatile oils and alkaloids produces a protective effect against the high blood sugar caused by taking dexamethasone on the tissue structure and biochemical parameters and recommended the isolation of some active compounds, especially the compound  1,8-cineole and its role in sugar treatment.
