The Department of Physics at the College of Science at the University of Basra, in coordination with the Continuing Education Unit and the Continuing Education Committee in the Department, organized a workshop on medical physics devices, which lasted from 24-3/3/2025.
The workshop aimed to qualify and develop undergraduate and graduate students, and introduce them to medical devices, in addition to enabling graduate students and those interested to understand the mechanism of operation of these devices and their practical applications in the medical field.
The workshop included lectures given by a group of professors, namely:
Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jassim Muhammad
Prof. Dr. Imad Abdul Zahra Muhammad
Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Muhammad Jabbar
Assistant Professor Dr. Maitham Abdullah Ali
The workshop recommended the necessity of holding intensive workshops for medical physics students to develop their skills in the field of modern medical devices.
