The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a discussion session on (Design of a Modified UWB Square Band Antenna within C/X-band Applications) for the graduate student Mohammed Abdul Karim Yousef. The study aims to design a very wide-band antenna by changing the shape and dimensions of the radiator, the feed line and the length of the back plate using simulation in the COSOL program to study the antenna parameters and improve them for use within x-band, c-band applications. The study included manufacturing the antenna in our laboratories in the College of Science, Department of Physics and measuring the parameters to compare the practical results with the theoretical results.
