The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the general concept of stress in plants.

The study, which was lectured by graduate student Asmaa Ibrahim Othman, aimed to explain the different effects of environmental stresses on plants.

The study dealt with explaining the role of environmental factors in determining plant growth and productivity, reviewing the most important physiological and molecular mechanisms that help them adapt and survive, explaining the challenges facing agriculture in light of climate change, and modern strategies to enhance the ability of plants to withstand harsh environmental conditions
