Under the patronage of His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research, the University of Basrah  participated in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohannad Hamid Abboud, director of the Department of scientific affairs at the University of Basra, and Mr. Jabbar Amin, director of the Department of missions and cultural relations at the University of Basra, in the week of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Day, which resulted in the signing of many memoranda of scientific cooperation with sober Iranian universities.
