The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on bacteria that produce lipase enzyme and its environmental and industrial applications
The session, in which the student Zainab Qais Hamid lectured, aimed to explain the main role of bacteria that produce lipase enzyme in treating water and soil pollution with petroleum and oil hydrocarbons.
The session touched on the most important environmental and industrial applications in which bacterial lipase enzyme enters, such as food and pharmaceutical industries, biofuel industry, detergent industry, and others as a low-cost and environmentally friendly alternative.
