The Department of geology at the college of science at the University of Basrah held a scientific field trip to the Tayeb area in Maysan governorate for students of the applied groundwater course c٤١٢ where the trip aims to introduce students to the types of underground reservoirs and the nature of wells in the field area. during the trip, the General Authority for groundwater visited the Maysan branch. an explanation was given about the area in terms of the structure and geology of the area and the tectonic movements exposed to it over time were also explained how to take measurements Stable water depth for monitoring wells for groundwater. The Zubeidat area was also visited, where there is an artesian well of a confined underground reservoir . The field work was supervised by a group of professors of the Department of geoscience, Dr. Inas Abdul Razzak, Dr. Wassan Sabeeh, assistant professor rafed Abdul Hassan, Dr. Mazen Abdul Azim and six naghm Adel Darwish.
