The College of Science at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit, organized a seminar entitled Women and the Challenges of Driving.

The seminar aimed to break the barrier of fear among women from learning to drive and going out into the street.

The seminar, which was lectured by Ms. Israa Abdul Hussein Ibrahim, a driving trainer at Rahaf Driving School Office, included the basics of driving and traffic rules.

The seminar recommended the necessity of women learning to drive and obtaining a driver's license due to its importance in the social and economic aspects, which is no less important than university degrees.
