The Department of Physics at the College of Science, University of Basra, held a ceremony to honor the retirement of Professor Dr. Karima, one of the physics professors who completed a rich scientific career spanning more than 40 years in the service of the university and scientific research.

The celebration, which was held in the Professor Rashid Al-Rashed Hall in the department, was attended by a number of faculty members, students and employees who came to express their appreciation for Dr. Karima and her great contributions to the department and the university. The Head of the Physics Department, Dr. Wael Abdul Latif, gave a speech in which he spoke about Dr. Karima's achievements and their impact on the department's progress and on successive generations of students.
