Professor Dr. Iman Muhammad Abdul Zahra, a lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences, College of Science, University of Basra, participated as a member of the committee to discuss the doctoral thesis of the student Wasan Fawzi Abdul Hussein from the Department of Life Sciences, College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Basra, entitled (Anatomical changes in the Arabidopsis thaliana plant under stressful conditions of salinity and lighting and the effect of the growth regulator Pacloputrazol)
Dr. Iman explained that the thesis included several aspects, including studying the effect of light stress and salinity stress on the anatomical characteristics of the root, stem and leaf and some physiological characteristics of the mouse ear plant... using a transmission electron microscope. The study concluded that changes occurred in many anatomical properties of chloroplasts and photosynthetic pigments due to exposure to light and salinity stress
