The University of Basrah organizes a seminar entitled (Biological importance of compounds from secondary metabolite extracts of fungi)

The College of Science at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on (Evaluation of the biological activity of biologically active compounds extracted from some fungi isolated from poultry waste) for the graduate student Sanaa Abdul Hamid Ghali. The study aims to demonstrate the importance of compounds extracted from fungi. The study included extracting iodine from the producing fungi and measuring their inhibitory effectiveness against bacteria, pathogenic yeasts and breast cancer cells, isolating and identifying biologically active compounds and studying their biological effectiveness. The study recommended testing the effectiveness of these compounds on laboratory animals and testing their effectiveness as antivirals.
