The College of Science, Department of Mathematics, discussed a seminar entitled (Approximation by some sequences of Baskakov –type operators) by postgraduate student Ahmed Fadel Jabbar. The seminar aims to construct two new kinds of Baskakov operator and study a uniform convergence for these operators by Korovkin theorem and find a Voronovsky formula and obtain the order of approximation for the first kind O(1/n).
