The University of Basrah hold a seminar on Functionalized magnetic nanoparticles: synthesis, spintronics and medical applications

A seminar entitled Functionalized magnetic nanoparticles: synthesis, spintronics and medical applications hold at the College of Science, Department of physics.

The presenter Ameer Farhan Shamkhi demonstrates the most important objectives of study synthesize, develop, and modify ferrimagnetic MFe2O4 (M: Fe, Co, Mn, and Ni) nanoparticles for hyperthermia and spintronics applications.

In this work, we successfully ferrimagnetic nanoparticles MFe2O4 (M= Fe, Co, Ni, Mn) were synthesized by very simple, cost low, eco-friendly methods includes green method and Co -precipitation method, also by using expensive precursor thermal decomposition method. We improved the structural properties of some samples using annealing at 400, 600 and 800 Cº, and after that, measurements the hyperthermia and spintronics applications.
