The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a scientific trip for the students of the Environmental Chemistry course 210 for morning study.

The visit was to the Karma River to view the site environment and conduct field measurements of pollution.

The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Makiya Muhalhal Khalaf, Dr. Muhammad Salem Mawil, Mr. Moataz Hikmat Othman, and Mrs. Israa Abdul Karim Taban, teaching staff in the Department of Ecology, to enrich the practical aspect by applying science on the ground, which leads to enhancing students’ confidence in the science they are studying.
