The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at Basra University organized a seminar on ground beetles and their relationship to environmental pollution.

The seminar, which was lectured by postgraduate/master’s student Ghadeer Saad Nasser, aimed to highlight the importance of the order Coleoptera in terms of its spread, diversity, and multiple environments.

The episode explained the possibility of using ground beetles as vital indicators of soil contamination with heavy metals in some areas of Basra Governorate.
