Synthesis and characterization of zintl-phase antimonite compounds Eu1-xYbx Zn2Sb2 , Yb Zn2-xCdxSb2 , Yb Zn2-xMnxSb2 for thermoelectric applications

The presenter “ IBRAHIM MAJEED JASIM ” demonstrates the most important objectives of study : Preparation of three compounds of thermoelectric materials from Zintl-phase antimonite compounds  Eu1-xYbx Zn2Sb2 , YbZn2-x CdxSb2 & YbZn2-x MnxSb2 of short time 10-25min by Solid State Microwave Synthesis and study thermoelectric properties . This study prove that the compounds  Eu0.6Yb0.4Zn2Sb2 , YbCd1.6Zn0.4Sb2 &  YbZn1.6Mn0.4Sb2  have the hexagonal crystal structure and it are promising thermoelectric materials.
