The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on plant ecology in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Protection and Improvement in the Southern Region.

The workshop aimed to explain the plant environment, the most important plants in the Iraqi environment, and how to preserve them.

The workshop, which was lectured by Dr. Widad Mezban Taher and Dr. Suhad Abdel-Sada Taha, both teachers in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science, included an explanation of the most important changes that have occurred in the environment as a result of climate changes in the world and what plants face.
