The College of Science in the Department of Mathematics discussed a seminar entitled Approximation of Functions by Sequence of Linear Positive Operators for postgraduate student Jenan Abdulredah. The seminar aims to introduce some definitions and theorems such as Weierstras’s theorem, Korovkin’s theorem, and Voronovskaja theorem which are important for the approximation of functions by linear positive operators.
