​ The College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on domestic, industrial, commercial and medical waste and methods of treatment and recycling. The goal of the workshop was to develop plans for treating various wastes and ways to benefit from waste by recycling it

Establishing a mechanism for utilizing the waste that is presented at the University of Basra and how to treat it and recycle it as a proposal for a comprehensive project that aims to utilize this waste to obtain raw materials through recycling by developing plans to collect and sort waste, as well as providing job opportunities and a simple income that participating students can benefit from
