The College of Science organizes a workshop on the impact of climate change and biodiversity

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on climate change on biodiversity in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Protection and Improvement in the Southern Region.

The workshop aimed to demonstrate the great risks facing living organisms that reach the point of extinction or decline in numbers as a result of the negative effects of climate change on groups of living organisms in the environment.

 

The workshop, in which Dr. Najah Abboud Hussein and Dr. Dynia Ali Hussein, lecturers in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science, included an explanation of the most important changes that have occurred in the biodiversity of animals and plants as a result of climate changes in the world and what these organisms face.
