The College of Science at the University of Basrah joined a seminar on (Diagnosis of pesticide residues in some locally traded fruits and vegetables) for postgraduate student Nisreen Ahmed Obaid. The study aims to reveal the presence of pesticide residues in thirteen types of local and imported fruits and vegetables. The study included monitoring About 101 pesticide residues belonging to 24 types of pesticides. The study recommended adopting a more modern method that keeps pace with development, such as organic farming, biological and mechanical control, the use of more pest-resistant seeds and seeds.
