The College of Science organizes a seminar on the fish gathering in the Eastern Hamar Marsh

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science organized a seminar on behalf of the College of Science to review the biodiversity of the Eastern Hammar marsh fish.

The seminar, in which graduate student Israa Aziz Muhammad lectured, aims to evaluate the environmental biodiversity of the fish population in the eastern Hamar Marsh.

The study addressed the definition of the Iraqi marshes and their divisions, in addition to reviewing and analyzing the results of fish diversity in the eastern Hamar marsh during the period 2009-2019, and determining the extent to which they are affected by salinity and temperature.

The study touched on the application of the environmental integrity index (Biodiversity Intactness Index) to the fish population in the eastern Hamar Marsh and the development of a computer program to calculate this index (evidence) and other environmental evidence.
