The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the green synthesis of nanoparticles using plant extracts and their use in resisting salt stress in some plants.

The seminar, which was lectured by master's student Malak Khalaf Dayesh, aims to highlight the possibility of using plant extracts in preparing silver nanoparticles as an environmentally friendly method.

The episode discussed the use of two types of wild plants in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles to reduce salt stress on aquatic plants.

The episode touched on the possibility of using silver nanoparticles to resist salt stress and improve the physicochemical properties of water.

The study recommends the use of environmentally friendly methods in preparing nanoparticles instead of traditional methods that are harmful to the environment in improving the characteristics of aquatic plants.
