The teachers in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra, Dr. Abdul Redha Akbar Alwan and Dr. Donia Ali Hussein, published a book entitled Trees and Shrubs.

The book, which included 675 pages divided into 13 chapters, in addition to 13 introductory chapters of 350 pages, dealt with a national guide and an atlas of the trees and shrubs of Iraq.

The book is a useful reference for all those interested in afforestation, greening, mitigating climate change and global warming, and improving the environment.
