The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on scientific photography using digital camera techniques

The workshop aimed to teach recipients the difference between professional and non-professional digital cameras, how to use professional digital cameras, and how to use mobile cameras for scientific photography purposes.

The workshop, in which lecturers Dr. Abdel Moneim Hussein Ali and Dr. Muhammad Abbas Mahdi lectured, included the definition of photography, light, vision, light temperature, types of cameras according to their developmental stages, the exposure triangle, types of image processors used in mobile phones, and the difference between them and a professional camera.

The workshop recommended conducting more such workshops in order to teach professional scientific photography and the use of professional cameras.
