A seminar at the University of Basrah on the ideal characterization of reservoir fluids using chromatographic analysis

The Department of Earth Science at the College of Science organized a seminar entitled Ideal Characterization of Reservoir Fluids Using Gas Chromatography Analysis of Drilling Muds in Real Time for the Zubair Formation in the Rumaila Oil Field, Southern Iraq. The seminar, in which researcher Hussein Aliwi Jafit Al-Ugaili lectured, aims to develop the process of evaluating and managing the Zubair reservoir based on the integration of standard open well sensors. The current study included analyzes of gas chromatographic data during drilling. The results of the preliminary interpretation concluded that the combination of analysis of the gas during drilling (GWD) method and the integration of sensors Open wells, NMR probes, and formation tests are an effective method for diagnosing reservoir fluid properties.
