The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (Pathological and Immunohistochemical on Ovarian carcinoma and Uterus Hyperplasia in Women of Basrah Province) by the graduate student Zena Abdul-Hussain Yousif Al-Adhub.

The aim of the study: the pathological study included histopathological changes of all subtypes, along with the study of endometrial hyperplasia and included the histological immunological study and the effect of some types of immunomodulators expressed through antibody-antigen interactions through immunological staining of the nucleus or cytoplasm, ovarian cancer was a complex and multifactorial disease the study of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in women remains the most: Evaluation of estrogen (ER), progesterone (PR) and human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) factors (over-expression) within the ovarian tissue by (IHC) as a prognostic and predictive sign. Determine the role of metalloproteinase (MP 14) and the level of osteopontin (OPN)and explain its role in all subtypes of (OC)at different stages and degrees to understand the developmental invasion and metastases and identify the possible association of (OC)with abnormal tumors of the uterus such as (endometrial polyp, endometrial hyperplasia and adenomyosis. Make efforts and the need to implement serious screening programs in most Iraqi Centers for early detection of uterine cancer and health programs to raise awareness about the importance of early detection in the early stages, which usually appear asymptomatic, as symptoms tend to appear when cancer progresses, so raising awareness among women about ovarian and uterine cancer will increase the chances of recovery.And genetic tests for heredity.
