The University of Basrah hosted an online workshop focusing on cancer immunotherapy, organized by head of the Department of Biology, College of Science, University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Wafaa S. Shani titled "Dendritic Cell-Based Anti-Cancer Immunotherapy.". The workshop, led by Professor Dr. Mohamed Labib Salem from Egypt, aimed to elucidate the latest research on leveraging immunotherapy to target cancer cells. Specifically, the workshop highlighted the role of dendritic cells in eliminating cancer cells and suppressing their cancerous activity. A key outcome of the workshop was the recommendation to foster scientific collaboration between the University of Basra, the College of Science, and the Department of Life Sciences, with the Egyptian Cancer Research Center.
