The University of Basrah hold a seminar on (Characterization of Composite Polyacrylonitrile Nanofibers Prepared by Electrospinning Technique for gas sensors and Photocatalysis applications)

A seminar entitled Characterization of Composite Polyacrylonitrile Nanofibers Prepared by Electrospinning Technique for gas sensors and Photocatalysis applications hold at the College of Science, Department of physics.

The presenter Mokhalad Ali Zbalh demonstrates the most important objectives of study

Preparation of Polyacrylonitrile Nano composite thin films by electrospinning method and Zinc Selenide nanoparticles by chemical methods

Polyacrylonitrile Composites were used in two different applications. In the first, compound PAN-ZnSe was applied in Photocatalysis, and the best degradation rate was found at PAN-50%ZnSe is 92.61% after 480 minute. As for the second compound, it was used as a gas sensor.
