A lecturer participates in a workshop on artificial rain seeding

Lecturer Moataz Hikmat Othman in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science participated in a workshop entitled Artificial Rainfall and its Role in Confronting Climate Change, which was held at the Ur Center for Strategic Studies and Development.

 The participation included a lecture on the role of artificial rain seeding in confronting local climate changes and the possibility of applying it with both types of cloud injection and ionic rain seeding in Iraq to get rid of drought, desertification, and the spread of dust storms.

The lecture included an explanation of the experiences of neighboring countries that are pioneers in this field, such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the Emirates, to confront weather changes and focus on the most important positives and benefits of this technology.
