The University of Basrah organizes a seminar entitled (Genetic susceptibility of patients to hydatidosis.)

The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (Genetic susceptibility of patients to hydatidosis.) by the graduate student Fatima Naeem Mahood .

The study aims studying the prevalence of human echinococcosis in Basra province.Disquisition on the factors contributing to the disease such as age , sex , cyst (location , type and size),patient jobs and finally their contact with animals.Investigating the association of TLRs genes polymorphisms with the susceptibility to develop echinococcosis and include to identify the parasite that causes the disease and The extent of its spread in the world, the classification of the parasite, knowledge of its stages, in addition to its life cycle. The pathology it causes was also discussed, the most important clinical symptoms and its effect on the organs were also discussed. The most important methods used in its diagnosis, treatment methods, and factors that helped in its spread were also discussed, and then the extent of people’s susceptibility was studied. The disease depends on a person's genetic makeup and the relationship of TLRs genes to the frequency of infection, and make a comparison by reviewing previous studies between people with echinococcosis and people who are not infected, depending on the of TLRs genes polymorphisms .
