The Faculty of science at the University of Basrah received the Iranian delegation of the National Institute of Biotechnology in the presence of the president of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shahin, and the dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Jalal Jabbar Hassan, and during the visit, a scientific exchange agreement was signed with the Department of life sciences at the Faculty of Science. the agreement between the two parties aims to for the institute as far as it concerns their specialties and possibilities Available and available at the Institute
 This was followed by the visit of the delegation to the Department of life sciences, where a lecture was given by Dr. Adnan Isa al-Badran, in which he discussed the introduction of the Department of Life Sciences, the number of Bachelor's, master's and doctoral students, his professors and their scientific degrees, laboratory equipment and halls located in it, followed by the delegation's visit to the central laboratory in the Department of life sciences and the biotechnology laboratory .
