The Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of science at the University of Basra, with the participation of the dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Jalal Jabbar Hassan, the head of the Department of mathematics, Dr. Mohammed sari, the student activities unit and a group of teachers and students of the Department, organized a campaign of afforestation of the front gardens of the department by planting a group of evergreen trees as well as a group of seasonal agricultural seedlings to contribute to increasing the green area of the college. The campaign comes as part of a series of campaigns that the college conducts periodically to support and implement planned projects to increase green spaces and pay attention to the aesthetics of the college's gardens and maintain their permanence .
