The student activities unit at the Faculty of science at the University of Basrah participated in the international marathon races held at the University of Baghdad, where the student Mortada Mazen Daoud from the Department of geoscience from the University of Basrah team participated in the student category and the student Zahra Haider Harz from the Department of physics from the University of Basrah team. The University of Basrah has achieved the third place in the marathon over the participating Iraqi universities
