A lecturer at the College of Science at the University of Basra, Mr. Moataz Hikmat Othman, in the Department of Ecology, published an article entitled Green Industry: A Step towards Sustainable Development.

The article, which included an explanation of the new electronic environment, the concepts of digitization, smart industries, the industrial revolution, and the negative impact of technological progress in the field of industry, whether on the environment or on sustainable development, highlighted the importance of using clean technology and renewable energy in order to reach a sustainable environment, the most important of which is the green industry.

The article was published in the Iraq “sky” news agency, which summarized the benefits of green industry, its friendliness to the environment, its investment in renewable resources, and the reduction of waste.
