A master's thesis at the College of Science/ Department of Ecology at the University of Basrah discussed the evaluation of the efficiency of constructed wetlands for greywater treatment in different media

The thesis of the researcher Rana Abdul Ameer Aylan showed the possibility of improving the treatment efficiency in constructed wetlands using different media such as biochar and ceramic.

The study aims at the possibility of treating greywater and using it for irrigation purposes and reducing the demand for water resources.

The study recommended the application of this system in residential complexes to treat the resulting greywater and use it for the purpose of irrigating the green spaces in the complex and reducing the need for surface water
