The Faculty of Science  at the University of Basrah conducted the Competitive Examination for students applying for graduate studies in the Faculty of Science for the academic year 2023/2024 under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of science, assistant professor Dr. Jalal Jabbar Hassan and assistant dean for scientific affairs, professor Dr. Alaa Hassan Abdullah ٠ the number of applicants for graduate studies reached 297 students in the specialties of literature, master and higher diploma .  The number of applicants for the doctoral study reached 52 students, for the master's study 241 and the Higher Diploma 3 students
