Dr. Widad Mazban Taher, a lecturer in the Department of Ecology at the University of Basra, participated in a workshop on promoting financial inclusion to support efforts to confront the repercussions of climate change, which was set up by the Central Bank of Iraq, Basra branch.
The workshop included the participation of a number of officials and representatives of state departments and civil society organizations to discuss how to contribute by Iraqi banks in providing financial support for private projects in climate change and reducing global warming.
The workshop dealt with the presentation of plants that would contribute to enduring the environmental conditions of the region, the most important of which are forest trees.
